Actor Ajay Devgn remembered his mentor and father Veeru Devgan on May 27, one year after his death. The stunt director passed away after being unwell for a while. He suffered cardiac arrest after being admitted to a Mumbai hospital for breathing problems.
On his one year death anniversary, Ajay Devgn took to Twitter to share a compilation of his photos with his father. “Dear Dad, it’s a year since you left. However, I can feel you beside me—quiet, caring, protective; your presence is forever reassuring,” he wrote.

Veeru Devgan was an accomplished stunt director and had worked in films like Inkaar (1977), Mr. Natwarlal (1979), Kranti (1981), Shahenshah (1988), Tridev (1989), Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri (1990), among many other iconic films. Veeru Devgan even ventured into direction with 1999 film Hindustan Ki Kasam which starred son Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Manisha Koirala, and Sushmita Sen.
