Television actress Malvi Malhotra was recently attacked by a man under her residential building in Versova. The attacker took this drastic step after Malvi Malhotra refused to marry him and has an FIR lodged under his name currently. The actress was rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and had to undergo multiple surgeries since she had an incision in her stomach and severe cuts on her left arm and right wrist by the attacker.
The actress opened up about the details of her wounds in an interview with a portal and also spoke about learning self-defense once she has recovered. Malvi Malhotra said that she has been discharged from the hospital and has been asked to stay in Mumbai till the wounds heal. She is accompanied by her parents who are scared to leave her alone for obvious reasons and will continue to stay with her till the case is active in court.
Speaking of her wounds she explained that the cut on her left hand had almost cost her little finger. The finger was almost cut off and it took two surgeries for the doctors to fix it. Her stomach incision was 1.5 inches and she is required to keep her hand suspended for now to avoid swelling. Malvi further said that she is grateful for the fact that her organs are not damaged. However, she will have to undergo four weeks of physiotherapy after the stitches are off to gain her primary strength back. She explained how the attacker was trying to attack her face, neck, and heart but she covered it with her hands.
Her parents are supportive of her career and do not want her to give up on her dreams but they are scared because such incidents do not take place in Mumbai. Her father has told her not to be scared to live but has suggested that she take self-defense classes since they worry about her protection.
