INSIDE SCOOP: The real reason why Maneesh Sharma and not Ali Abbas Zafar is directing Salman Khan’s Tiger 3

Bollywood Hungama has been constantly consistent in giving exclusive updates about YRF’s Project 50, which marks the 50 years of the prestigious banner. We were among the first to reveal that Aditya Chopra is taking the Tiger franchise forward with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, and with Maneesh Sharma on board as the director, he is planning to mount the film on a humongous budget of Rs 350 crore, thereby making the biggest Bollywood action film till date. During the 2019 Eid release, Bharat, Ali Abbas Zafar had confirmed that he will be collaborating with Salman on Tiger 3 and has cracked an exciting idea too for the same. Soon after, the reports started flowing in that Ali will no longer direct Tiger 3, however there was no reason given out by anyone.

We have now exclusively got hands at the behind the scene story of what went behind building Tiger 3. “Ali Abbas Zafar is one of the biggest directors in today’s time and but obviously, after delivering a blockbuster in Tiger Zinda Hai, Adi and Salman were both keen to have him back on board as the director. In-fact, Ali had even started working on the script of Tiger 3, taking forward an idea that Aditya Chopra had presented to him. Adi believes Ali is among the most promising directors of Hindi cinema in today’s time,” a source told Bollywood Hungama on condition of anonymity. However, soon, Adi was informed that Ali is working on developing multiple scripts at the moment, including Mr. India, Katrina Kaif’s superhero film and also concentrating on projects for his production house. “Adi was clear on the fact that Tiger 3 will not just be the biggest film of his production house, but also the biggest that Bollywood has seen till date. He had a particular vision for the franchise and to translate that to spectacle, he wanted Ali to give 100% dedication to Tiger 3 for a period of 2 to 3 years, which included scripting, pre-production, post-production and finally the release. Adi doesn’t believe in the idea of multiple films at same point of time,” the source informed ahead.

However, with films like Khaali Peeli almost set to go on the floor, and a studio partner waiting to bank roll his ambitious superhero universe consisting of Mr. India and a female superhero in Katrina Kaif, Ali wasn’t too sure on allotting the said time to Tiger 3. “Of course, Ali wanted to direct it, but he was looking at a wider course of working on 3 to 4 films over a period of three years vis-à-vis just one film for two to three years. Adi believes in the funda of looking at one film at a time, and couldn’t be in sync with Ali’s outlook, despite having complete faith in his vision and skills as a director. After several rounds of discussions, Adi felt the need to part ways, and got Maneesh Sharma on board the franchise. Adi was clear that a franchise like Tiger requires complete dedication from the director. Maneesh wrote a screenplay and shared the blueprint of his vision and action sequences with Aditya Chopra, who was simply blown away by the vision. He then went with the same to Salman, who instantly gave his nod and loved it to the extent that he was compelled to change his line-up of films overnight, putting Tiger 3 in the priority list,” the source also said, adding further that Adi and Ali will definitely do one more film together and there is no bad blood between then. For Ali, Adi is like a mentor and they decided to part ways on Tiger 3 following a civil discussion.

Adi and his entire team have been personally looking into all the scripts that are being made under YRF Project 50, and Tiger is his baby, considering that it’s his story that’s being

worked on. “The action scenes aside, which will be humongous to say the least, being the last part of the franchise, Tiger 3 has a strong emotional core too, which has impressed Salman, Katrina and Adi the most.” The film is slated to go on the floors around February next year and will be shot across the globe. The pre-production work has already begun. An official announcement is expected on September 27.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Asit Modi comments on Neha Mehta’s exit from the show

 

Neha Mehta, who has been a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for over 12 years, recently announced her exit from the family sitcom. The show recently celebrated its 12^th anniversary in full swing while adhering to the social distancing norms as they try to adjust to the new normal. Neha Mehta played the role of Anjali Taarak Mehta on the show and it was quite a pivotal one. Along with her, Gurucharan Singh has also decided to walk away. Sunayana Fozdar and Balwinder Singh Suri have been roped in as the new Anjali Taarak Mehta and Sodhi.

Producer Asit Modi has released a statement regarding Neha’s exit from the show and said, “Neha Mehta will always remain a part of the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah family. 12 years of working together binds you in a relationship that cannot be easily expressed in words. The decision to part ways was mutually agreed on. Everyone in the team appreciates and values her contribution to Anjali Mehtta’s character and the show. And, if ever in the future we have an opportunity to include her in any of our projects, we will definitely seek her out.”

Rashami Desai becomes the owner of a luxury car; shares pictures

Actress Rashami Desai recently purchased a luxury car and cannot stop smiling. The former Bigg Boss 13 contestant took to her social media handle to share a few pictures of herself posing inside her brand new Range Rover.

Reportedly, Rashmai had plans to buy a new car for a long time, but held back because of the pandemic. In an earlier interview with a daily, Desai revealed that she wanted to buy a Mercedes after coming out of the Bigg Boss house earlier this year, but later cancelled her plan. She said that at the end of the day people know her for her work and not for the lifestyle she leads.

After her successful stint at the Bigg Boss 13, the actress was seen in Naagin 4 where she played the role of Shalakha. The show has now reached its end and started with season 5. Meanwhile, Desai was also seen in the short film titled Tamas opposite Adhvik Mahajan which came out during the lockdown.

Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer reveals about Sushant Singh Rajput’s huge insurance policy

Every day, new revelations are coming to light in relation to the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. Actor Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde has revealed about an alleged huge insurance policy.

Speaking to CNN-News 18, the lawyer said, “If a person has a huge life insurance policy, should his death be declared a suicide or some other reason to enjoy the benefits of the policy? Statement of the people residing in the house reveals that his family was continuously informed. Right from the time the door was being opened, to the time when instructions were given to knock out the door, to the time when they saw the body hanging; IPS OP Singh was giving instructions as well. His family knew everything. I assure you she left the house because Sushant had asked her to. Rhea is being maliciously accused by the family.”

Another important detail he said that Sushant’s sisters were aware of his state and allegedly got him medicines. “The records say that the family was aware of his medication as far back as November 29, 2019. There are exchange of messages between Shruti (Modi) and his family asking for prescriptions and medicines. It is revealed that on 8th of June, 2020, when Rhea left the house around 12:30, he was in touch with his sisters. Priyanka had sent the message asking about his health. Previously, he had asked for the medicines from her. She sent a couple of names of the medicines which he said he can’t get without a prescription. She procured the prescription from Ram Manohar Lohiya Hospital and sent it to him. This prescription is a bogus one. Sushant has been entered as an OPD patient. The medicines prescribed to him fell in the narcotics section. He was not in Delhi when this entry was found,” he told.

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14 after he was found hanging at his Bandra apartment.

Choti Sarrdaarni actor Krishna Soni tests positive for Coronavirus, the shoot comes to a halt

The threat of Coronavirus still lingers more than ever as we have had over 80,000 cases of active patients, surpassing the other countries across the globe. Over 34 million cases across the country the economy, undoubtedly, has taken a dip and hence there have been a few leniencies in the lockdown. The shoots for television shows have also resumed a few months ago. However, in recent developments on the sets of Choti Sarrdaarni, the actor Krishna Soni has tested positive.

Krishna Soni is seen playing the role of the male protagonist’s brother-in-law, Rubinder Bajwa aka Robbiie. Needless to say, the shoot has come to a halt according to a report on another portal. Due to his infection, the makers have refrained from continuing the shoot and have stopped the process for a few days. The set will be thoroughly sanitized and the precautionary measures are being taken by people on the set.

The developments in Krishna Soni’s condition have not been revealed so far.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s niece takes a dig at Lakshmi Manchu’s comments supporting Rhea Chakraborty

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14 leaving the entire nation in shock. The actor who passed away at the age of 34 was found hanging in his apartment in Mumbai. Currently, the CBI is investigating the case with Rhea Chakraborty as the prime accused. The late actor’s family had filed an FIR against the actress accusing her of abetment of suicide and fraud.

Recently, Rhea Chakraborty broke her silence and gave interviews to a few TV news channels narrating her side of the story. Following this, a lot of people on social media including Bollywood celebrities stood in her support and said that the actress should not be witch hunted as she has not proven to be guilty.

Actress Laskhmi Manchu shared her thoughts on the matter and empathized with Rhea Chakraborty and her family for the way they are being treated. The post went viral. Sushant’s niece Mallika Singh took a dig at the actress for her post. Sharing a screenshot of the post, Mallika wrote, “I’m surprised that right now, some people are suddenly remembering what “pain of a family” and “standing up for a colleague” means.”

Earlier, Taapsee Pannu had shared Lakshmi’s post and written, “I didn’t know Sushant on a personal level nor do I know Rhea but what I know is, it only takes to be a human to understand how wrong it is to overtake judiciary to convict someone who isn’t proven guilty. Trust the law of the land for your sanity and the deceased’s sanctity.”
